Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: For thousands of children, education is the first step toward breaking the cycle of poverty. Guided by this belief, Smiley Children Society, a non-profit organization founded on January 19, 2019, has been working to ensure that children from underprivileged families receive the support they need to begin and continue their educational journey.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Since its inception, Smiley Children Society has focused on education, child welfare, and community empowerment through a range of volunteer-led initiatives.
One of the organization’s primary programs helps children from economically weaker sections gain admission to government schools. Volunteers regularly visit villages, interact with parents, identify children who are out of school, and assist families with documentation and admission procedures. Their efforts help remove practical barriers that often prevent children from receiving an education.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the valuable contribution made by Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for promoting educational inclusion through community service.
Apart from school enrollment campaigns, the organization also conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara, providing students with academic guidance after regular school hours. The tuition program includes free dinner, offering nutritional support to children while reducing the financial burden on their families.
Speaking about the organization’s vision, Founder Prudhvi Moses emphasized that education should be supported at every stage of a child’s development.
“A child’s future should never be determined by financial hardship. Through our volunteers and community partnerships, we are committed to helping children stay in school, improve academically, and develop the confidence to pursue their dreams,” he said.
Prudhvi Moses also advocates for more creative and engaging teaching methods in Anganwadi centres and government schools. During educational events, he has encouraged educators to adopt activity-based learning techniques that make classrooms more interactive and enjoyable for young learners. Smiley Children Society supports these initiatives by donating educational equipment and learning materials to institutions whenever possible.
As the organization continues to expand its outreach across Andhra Pradesh, it remains focused on building stronger communities through education, volunteerism, and child-centered development. By combining academic support, nutritional assistance, and innovative educational advocacy, Smiley Children Society is helping create a brighter future for the next generation.
